Update phones from desktop site

Hi peeps.
One of my devices is two versions old. Been pouring with storms, more coming.
Almost impossible, if not down right dangerous to work on that device.
So…
I have a question.
Is it possible using andriod, to switch to desktop view and update devices?
I’ve tried, but I don’t see the same options.
Would you consider this for a future uodate, or is this as I suspect, google only?
Would be damned handy for mobile users

My comp is for music/3D/ web design. It’s never allowed online.
Thank you.
Best

Ps. If I made spelling errors, it’s because I don’t have my glasses!

Hi Chippy,

Have you tried this?

Negative. Does not work from mobile. Even if I select ‘Desktop site’ from chrome options.
When the page reloads to the Alfred install page it says on a green button “Approve”.
Upon clicking this you are asked for your google managed account details.
It also states I need that account to use Alfred for my company, which of is not why I’m there.
Here I hope is a screen shot.

Hi Chippy,

The screenshot you provided still seems like a mobile version of the Google Play page. :hushed:

Please go to Chrome and search “Alfred Camera Google Play”, long press the search result and choose “Open in new tab”, go to the tab and switch to “Desktop site” from the Chrome settings. Please try again and let us know what you see!

Hi Ricardo,
Thank you for the reply. My question was in the very first paragraph.
From your answer, I’m guessing you mean ‘No’.
Best.

Hi Chippy,

We can actually do that from the mobile devices we have.

Would you like to provide us a screenshot of what you see after you tap “Approve”?

Oops, Chippy. It seems that the link you accessed was wrong. Please try this one:

That is the Android app page. There is no option to switch to desktop view in order to update Alfred.
The page above is the traditional comp webpage in desktop view.

So, the answer was no.
Changed the ‘A’ icon yet lol!
Be well, all of you.

If you long press the link then choose open in incognito mode then you should Go to the desktop version and not open the App on your device.

Then press install. Then sign in if you are not already. Then you get a drop down menu, choose your device and select update. Sometimes it says install although it is already installed on the device.
