Not for the iPhone 5!

I’ve been using the iPhone 5 as a cam for a few months. Came home today and notice the screen was bulging a bit. I knew exactly what the problem was… battery. Sure enough when I cracked the phone open the battery was close to popping. I hate to think what might’ve happened if the battery exploded when I wasn’t home. Alfred worked great while it lasted, but now I’m terrified of using a constantly plugged in cellphone for fear of burning down my home. [Uploading…](iPhone 5)

Don’t know if the image uploaded or not, but here is the Imgur.com link.

Hey @majorsales,

Thank you so much for reaching out!

I am so sorry to hear what happened to your iPhone 5. How long did you use it before you turned it into an Alfred camera? Was it connected to charging accessories from (or at least endorsed by) Apple?

Also, I’m not sure if your device might have been one of the ones that needed a battery replacement, but check this out:

If you have other Android devices running as Alfred Camera, you can also turn them on/off from your Viewer device with Alfred’s Remote Switch:

I really hope this is helpful!
