Light sensitivity causing unnecessary alerts

I recently began using Alfred and I love it! However I am continuing to receive notifications for detected movement unnecessarily. I have come to the conclusion it’s due to a slight change in the area lighting. Is there a way to adjust the lighting preferences or any tips for stopping unnecessary alerts?

Alfred’s Motion Detection algorithm decides if there has been “movement” by comparing one frame with the next. As a result, light/shadow changes could indeed trigger recording.

Alfred is dedicated to making the Motion Detection algorithm smarter by detecting specific movement. Before that becomes a reality, could you try a different setup? You are also always welcome to send us a link to a Motion Event or even a photo of what you see on the Viewer. That way, we can give you more specific advice.

Give this a go and let us know how it works out!
