Unfortunately I’m not in the T-Mobile Digits beta; however it’d be interesting to see what happens when you disable it. Eliminating any other potential interference might help in tracking down the issue.
I’m also wondering if anyone has the issue with an iPad that uses T-Mobile data. I would think iOS would be similar between the two but might be worth checking to see if there is something that is different. I don’t have one myself or I would test it.
Well, I turned off the beta software and it didn’t make any difference. It has to be something else. I only have this iPhone SE and no other Apple products, but I agree that it would be helpful if anyone out there could check and see if those devices are affected. I’m wondering why the moderator wanted me to try connecting to 3G instead of LTE or 4G. Unfortunately on this phone, I can’t. Apparently someone thinks that the slower network would work on the iPhone. That needs to be tested on an iPhone on another network that uses LTE but is able to switch to 3G. Honestly, I have no idea lol.
Thank you so much for offering extra info and keeping me posted!
The reason why switching to 3G might totally work is because we have issues with the Internet protocol of T-Mobile’s LTE but their 3G uses something else.
We are still looking into the problem. You’ll be the first to know the moment we get it fixed!
Please see my previous messages. We do not have the option on T-Mobile to choose 3G anymore since the 10.2 update on T-Mobile. See the screen shots attached in my previous responses. It’s been a known issue for people on 10.2 to not have the option to choose 3G anymore. The only option they give us now is the ability to turn LTE on or off. I’ve tried everything. I never had to be on the 3G network before to use Alfred anyway and thankfully I’ve never had to use 3G in my area. I’m always on LTE on both the iPhone and the Samsung. On my Samsung S7, regardless of whatever type of network I’m on, whether it be LTE 4G 3G or whatever, it works perfectly. Only the iPhone, ever since 10.2 update, has this problem. Thanks again.
To further clarify, even if I turn LTE off on the iPhone, which is the only option regarding network type ever since the 10.2 update on T-Mobile, my phone will revert to 4G and only 4G. If what you say is correct about Alfred NOT working on the 4G/LTE network, then perhaps it never did and I only recently am noticing that Alfred doesn’t work on iPhones using T-Mobile or LTE or 4G. It’s strange to me that it DOES work on my Samsung while on LTE and/or 4G while using T-Mobile but it Doesn’t on the iPhone. If this is really what you’re saying, then there need a disclaimer mentioning this on the Alfred download page in Apple’s App Store. There really isn’t any other way of wording this. I can’t be more specific in my language. I can’t be more clear.
I understand what you are saying. We are very grateful to you for bringing this to our attention.
Our engineers are looking into this, and we hop to get it fixed as soon as possible. In the meantime, I am sorry for the inconvenience!
I just wanted to say that somehow Alfred is finally working on my iPhone!!! Yay!!!
The app didn’t get any recent update and neither did iOS. However, A couple days ago a system message popped up saying something like “New network settings are available. Update now?”, and so I did. Maybe that fixed it. I have no clue. For others who have been having this issue, they may want to try and see if it is now working on their T-Mobile iPhones. I’m very happy!!! Thank you!!! -Danny
Thank you so much for letting us know! We just ran a test and you are right: IT WORKS!!!
We can’t be more thrilled about the new configurations. Fingers crossed it’ll stay that way!
I hope you’ll get to enjoy Alfred to the fullest again. Do let me know if you have any questions/feedback in the future,
We’ve had a couple of users telling us the iOS 10.2 over T-Mobile LTE issue has been solved. Would you please quickly check for us? We’d really appreciate it!
The problem has returned. Today, after updating Alfred on my iPhone. Same issue as before.
Thank you for letting us know!
Has the issue persisted? We did have an issue with the update that came out on the 4th, but it has been fixed in the meantime. Could you update your iPhone and try again?
Please keep me posted!
I updated again and it still persists.
I am so sorry. It seems like the issue has resurfaced with the new version of iOS. We will look into the situation again and try to fix it, but in all honesty, another carrier update would be nice about now…
Could you check something for me?
What’s your Carrier version?
Carrier version is 28.3
Sorry for the long delay. I didn’t see your reply before. Thank you!!!
Still not working btw. I wish I knew what T-Mobile keeps changing in the carrier settings. Hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you for the reply!
Yes, T-Mobile does change carrier settings. Fingers crossed they’ll do that again soon!
I didn’t get any kind of update, OS, carrier settings, or otherwise, but as of this evening, Alfred is working perfectly fine!
I don’t know what has changed but whatever it is, I’m very happy!!! Let’s hope it sticks lol.
Wow that’s a miracle!
OK maybe not. Pretty sure T-Mobile figured this out. SO SO happy it’s working again. Fingers crossed it’s going to stay that way for good!
Ohh no! It’s gone this morning. Did something change on your end? Maybe I had a bad signal and that tricked it into working. Its not working this morning.
We didn’t change anything (there is no new update, so basically nothing has been changed for your Alfred). Really not sure what is going on here. I guess that means we have to go back to working on this problem. Sorry for the inconvenience!
I also am on T-Mobile and latest Alfred and iOS 10.3.1 On LTE I have connection but no sound or picture. WiFi is fine.
