Alfred records 5-30 second videos depending on the motion. The algorithm decides how long the video is. The reason why the recordings are short is because we want to notify you right away. We want to make sure that if your house is broken into, we’d let you know in 30 seconds.
What if the movement is continuous? Don’t worry, we’ve got that covered!
Alfred will break the movement into multiple clips and group them under one time stamp. That way, you get to follow the sequence of Events easily. The number you see in the photo below each time stamp for example, tells you the number of Events there are in each group:

As for Premium users, the time limit for Motion Event could be up to 120 seconds. This would reduce the cases where long events are broken into multiple recordings. Once you upgraded to Alfred Premium, the time limit will be modified automatically, so you don’t need to change any settings.
