Kennels<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kennels\u2014and, for our feline friends, catteries\u2014have a mixed reception, and occasionally even a bad reputation. That\u2019s why it\u2019s crucial to do your research well in advance, so that you won\u2019t struggle to find a reputable, safe environment for your pet at short notice.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A good place to start is to ensure that the establishment is licensed and has a legitimate certification, like from the Pet Care Services Association (PCSA) or the International Boarding &amp; Pet Services Association (IBPSA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-link-color wp-elements-d4b8e784bd8bf6fca8420cf2fbad503a wp-block-paragraph\">Dogs are sociable animals and need the company of other dogs, and kind carers, to relax and be at ease. Fret not. In the age of smartphones and instant food deliveries, it\u2019s hardly surprising that pet-sitting apps are all the rage. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rover.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rover<\/a> is noted as among the largest pet sitting apps.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-link-color wp-elements-86d7c61bef297a908d3a02a2518161d6 wp-block-paragraph\">You can find local sitters and cross-references their ratings to find the best sitter for your pet. Dogs, on the other hand, need to be walked at least <a href=\"https:\/\/tractive.com\/blog\/en\/health\/how-often-should-you-walk-your-dog#:~:text=As%20a%20general%20rule%2C%20you,for%20at%20least%2015%20minutes.\">three times a day<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As with a live-in pet sitter, having a neighbor or friend check in on your pet does run a slight security risk.
